Clonmel’s Irish Superheavy Weight Champion Dean Gardiner was edged out on a split decision by Kazakhstan boxer Kamshybek Kunkabayev at the quarter final stage at the Strandja Memorial Multi Nations in Sofia, Bulgaria this evening. After three all action rounds, Dean narrowly lost out to his Kazakhstan opponent on a 2 – 1 decision.

Clonmel Boxing Clubs Dean Gardiner progresses to quarter final in the Multi Nations in Sofia

Clonmel Boxing Clubs Irish Elite Superheavy weight Champion Dean Gardiner progressed to the quarter final of the Strandja Memorial Multi Nations in Sofia, Bulgaria this evening (Tuesday) with a convincing unanimous 3 -0 decision (30-27,29-28,29-28) against Czech Republic boxer Dan Toborsky. Dean will be action again on Thursday evening against Kamshybek Kunkabayev (Kazakhstan).
