Ss Peter & Paul’s notes

Parish website:

The season of Lent starts on Wednesday, 13th February and continues for six weeks until Easter Sunday, 31st March. Lent is a time of preparation for our celebration of the events of Holy Week, when we commerate what is central to our Christian faith—the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lent is traditionally a time of prayer, fasting, and good works. In more recent years, one of the most important “good works” is our contributions to Trócaire—an initiative of the Irish Church to help cater for needs in Third World Countries.

Trócaire Boxes
Trócaire boxes will be available in the Churches from this Sunday. Please take one home with you and place it in a prominent place in your home. Contribute whatever you can to it during Lent, and return to it to the Church during Holy Week.
