County Championship.
Boherlann in New Inn is the opening game for our Intermediate side on Saturday 29th April for this year’s county championship. The game throws in at 7pm and hopefully a big town contingent well help cheer on the lads.
League Final.
Best of luck to Seamus and the Tipp team on Sunday in the league final. The hope is that this game will be orchestrated by only those inside the white lines !!
Preview Night.
Thankfully, tickets are moving extremely well for our All-Ireland preview night which takes place on the eve of Tipperary v Cork in the Munster Championship. Priced at €10, tickets are available from various premises around the town or from the venue itself, the Clonmel Park Hotel.
South Board Awards.
Congratulations to Mick O Connell and Michael Quinlivan who picked up gongs for skills rendered both past and present in football.
Anti-Social Behaviour.
The last number of weeks has seen a steady rise of incursions by youthful gangs trespassing into the Sportsfield grounds who are then engaging in alcohol fuelled theatrics causing broken glass to be strewn both stands. The Gardai are aware of such incidents and we call on the public to notify the authorities if such behaviour is witnessed in future.
Sincere sympathises to the Quinn family on the death of Dessie who sadly passed away after a long illness. Ar dheis de go raibh a h-anam dilis.
