New Signage

The new agreed information signage has been erected at St Patricks Well and it is informative and in keeping with the unique religious setting of the Well. The location of the signage is on the entrance gates and at the kneeler where patrons pray. Thank you to Tipperary Co Council engineer Owen Powell for the sympathetic and understanding provision of the signage and its placements. St Patricks Well is one of the most visited locations in Tipperary County and trip advisor marks it at number two in this category.

Deferred Flag Day

Marlfield Hurling Club has deferred its planned flag day which was to take place this coming Friday and Saturday 20th and 21st March. We will apply for another date when the all clear on the Covrid 19 virus has been notified to the public by the Department of Health The Central Council of the GAA has directed that all operations involving club members have been cancelled. Please pass on this information to friends and acquaintances.

Pondside Works

A new road surface is due to be laid on the pondside shortly and this will involve traffic diversions. The existing road surface is in a bad way due to wear and water ingress. The new surface will include appropriate road markings with a walking section along the side of Marlfield Lake. This will be welcome as often cars park near the hedge requiring pedestrians to walk in the middle of the road to pass.
