Does anyone have any info. Ref. my great uncle Con Kiely and his wife Kitty who lived at St Patrick’s Terrace. They had a daughter Carmel who was married to Michael Kavanagh. They had a son and a daughter named Marcella.
I would also be grateful to hear about Gerry Keane
Thanks
I remember this place in the 1960’s. It was located on O’Connell Street next to what was then Jerry Condon’s Garage, a Morris Car Dealer at that time now know as the Emerald Garden. Mr. and Mrs. Weston and their Son ran the Jewellery Business…..it was located between Condon’s Garage and Lonergans Bar near the West Gate…..
It’s closer to the main guard than to the west gate. Weston jewellers was next door to burkes butchers now penneys. Directly across the road would have been Woolworths
It was before Annerley Jewellers and before that it was Phelan’s Shoe Shop. The lane is Shelmadhn’s Lane and it led down to Smith’s slaughterhouse and on down to Burke’s Bacon Factory. Smith’s meat shop was between Burke’s and Power’s wallpaper shop. My mother and father had a shop (and my grandfather and grandmother before that) on the other side of Weston’s, at number fourteen.

It’s O’Connell St. Clonmel where Annerley Jewelers are beside Penny’s.
